I do asked also the developer (no answer yet) but I thought maybe somebody has also this experience.
It seems only a problem with iOS devices.
Pictures are the same size as the original sizes of the pictures (demo site). (no reducing after uploading)
I do have problems with one more site. Same kind of theme. (scrolling down to pages)

I just try other themes like Twenty Twelve but they doesn’t show the gallery or any picture of the gallery.
