In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Tried Your Fix for WordPress as SenderHey Barnez,
I managed to get it to work. So:
1. Under Settings, click on “Postman SMTP”, click “Show All Settings”.
2. Click on the tab “Message”.
3. Under “From Address”, enter your receiving email address. And under “Name”, enter your company name or the name you want users to see when they receive your email in their inbox. Make sure the boxes for preventing overrides are checked (“Prevent themes and plugins from changing this”).
I still wish it would take the name I defined in each Contact Form itself, as this would make more sense… I have 3 separate contact forms, it would be nice to define a different name for each under “From”.
Currently, I’ve used the Subject field instead. So, something like this:
Subject: Service Booking: “[your-subject]”
Thanks for all your help and advice man.. much much appreciated.

No, I haven’t tried to disable the plugins and switching themes, as the site is already live…
The same issue is still persisting, and I’m quite perplexed.. Postman didn’t help. Not sure what else to do now..

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Tried Your Fix for WordPress as SenderOh, I actually created 2 other contact forms, all with the same issue. And I didn’t do a duplicate for those.
Ok! Thanks for the plugin suggestion. I’m just worried about having too many plugins.. it’s a security headache plus they always cause bugs…

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Tried Your Fix for WordPress as SenderHi Barnez,
Thanks for your reply.. when I receive a mail from the contact form, it shows this in my Inbox:
And when I open the email, it shows this:
Basically, “WordPress” is always in the email “From” field, even though it is nowhere specified in my mail settings.
Thanks!
