I do have the plugin called My Theme Login, which has the option to turn recaptcha on. I have that turned off, but would that be the problem? I mean, that is an external plugin right?

Not sure if that should be the proper fix though, but it works for now.

I have version 6.3.10 and I have a problem with resetting passwords as well.
I can’t, however, find line 318 in the .php file. Is that because of my version of it? Do you what can be done to help this problem?

go to pages > all pages
now select one of your pages by moving your mouse over the page title
you’ll see an option called ”edit” > click on itin the top right corner of your screen you’ll see a button called settings
located next to the ”help” button, click on it and make sure ”comments” is turned onnow scroll down to ”comments” and make sure you turn off ”allow comments”
my WP version is Dutch, so my apologies if some names were differently
