Ah… found the answer here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-nextgen-gallery-important-announcement-one-time-please
I was searching for the wrong keywords.
I’ve disabled all plugins except NextGen.
I’ve deleted then re-installed the NextGen plugin.
I’ve rerun the WordPress auto-updater.
Issue still won’t go away.

In reply to: [User Access Manager] [Plugin: User Access Manager] cannot add links? It turned out that it wasn’t UAM’s issue but another plugin. I disabled that plugin and everything functioned as expected.

In reply to: different languages on each sub-siteThanks mate. Much appreciated.

In reply to: different languages on each sub-siteThanks again. It sounds like I don’t need to do anything special here. I can install WPMU and create sub-sites with English for the admin and then publish the content and such in different languages.
That brings up the question of permalinks and META data. I assume that permalinks would be English? Ideally, I’d like the Chinese site to use Chinese for the page names or does this pose a problem with some languages? Likewise for the META data. Since I’ll be using Thesis (my plan at the moment) then I can write the META data in the language of choice.

In reply to: different languages on each sub-siteThanks for the reply. Would this have to be done using WPML or is there a simpler method?

In reply to: different languages on each sub-siteAnother note. I would like the Admin in English for all of the sub-sites but the actual copy and URLs in the native language.
I know that if I set the language in the wp-config the whole site (admin and public) will be in that language – and that isn’t what I want.
I’m sifting through back posts here but if someone could offer some insight, I’d appreciate it. Thanks.

In reply to: [Event Calendar] Minor bug in IE8Yes. Thank you folks.
Whoops – wait a minute. I saw there was one additional comma to be removed further down. Now it’s working.
