Thank you so much for your response. But Oh dear. I think I messed up bigtime. After sending this message, I looked at the staging site and it looked like I could just delete it and start over. I went into the staging site and deleted it, and then I deactivated Jetpack and reconnected it. Safe Mode went away, but now it appears that all my site stats are gone, as you said they would be. I use UpdraftPlus and the site backed up on Nov. 5, so will I need to figure out how to replace the current site with the backup?
