yes, i have a similar problem (the post below you)
but only on a recent installed site.

In reply to: [Relevanssi - A Better Search] Search finds nothingOk, i uncommented everything as you suggested and the page layout is now correct, but the result page is empty. It looks like the plugin cant hook into my theme 🙁

i double checked it and it has no custom hooks left.

When uncommented, the whole result page is white with nothing displayed, not even “Nothing found”.
Also the Footer is missing then.This is how the Template looks after editing:
edit: there is no error thrown with debug on true
