Thanks for getting back to me. I copied and pasted your reply to them and they have just sent me a zip of access and error logs – just apache ones. One of the errors appearing frequently in these is: ‘No matching DirectoryIndex (index.php,index.html,index.htm,index.cgi,index.rb,index.py) found, and server-generated directory index forbidden by Options directive’ – is this relevant/helpful?
Quite frustrated as they don’t seem willing to help me and have just repeatedly changed file permissions on the server to no avail. As I don’t fully understand this could you possibly put together for me a question or set of directions they’ll need to follow to check the modsec_audit.log? Apologies this has been a painful process so far!
