I am having trouble with my social media icons too. Just recently I noticed that they were no longer appearing in my header. I go under customize to social media links and they are enabled. Made sure they were a dark color for my white header background, but they are MIA.
I have updated everything. I’m guessing it is something with the Evolve template?
