Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Problem with Meta Tags – not showing up in source codeActually, I just went and figured it out myself. Seems that the template designer forgot to include <p><?php the_tags(); ?></p> in his WordPress template.
It is now working. Yay me!
Thanks for your reply, though.

I think it asked me for the title of my blog or something like that. I don’t remember. I am very good about writing down any usernames and passwords (I maintain a whole list of them). So trust me, if it told me to write it down, I would have. 🙂
I did put in a real address and so far, I’ve gotten no e-mails whatsoever. I typed in “admin” and my e-mail and the ‘forgot password’ screen keeps telling me that the username and e-mail do not exist.
Just to add: I followed the instructions and put http://lildivahandbags.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php
in my browser window to finish installation (per instructions). Then I got
“Already Installed
You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.”
Should I just take wp off and re-install it? What a pain in the butt this has been. I’ve been working on this for over 3 hours now. So much for the famous 5-minute install. 🙂
That’s exactly what I did. I even downloaded FileZilla so I could upload the wordpress files to my server.
When I went back to finish the install of wp (per your site’s instructions), it asked for a header name and my password (said it could be changed later). Then, it went to a screen that said wp was already installed.
Not sure what’s going on. I’m pretty literate when it comes to computers – I maintain my own e-commerce site.
