Thanks a lot for the patch — I reviewed the commit (66a5789) and the approach looks exactly right for our case: skipping the purge when elementor/core/files/clear_cache fires inside a plugin/core lifecycle hook, while keeping it for real editorial changes. The two filters are a nice touch as well.
You mentioned you were editing your answer and asked me to wait — just checking in, no rush.
Two quick questions whenever you get a chance:
- Would you recommend testing this now via Toolbox → Beta Test, or should I wait for the official 7.9.1 release? This is a production news site (~10k URLs, active crawler), so I’d rather follow whichever path you consider safer.
- If Beta Test is the way to go: does switching to the branch build preserve all existing plugin settings, or should I export settings first and re-import after? (I’ll export a backup either way.)
Happy to test and report back with debug logs once you give the green light.
