Good morning,
I too had this issue (version 2.8.9 on WordPress.com) and solved it by adding these:
Restricted base directories:
/srv/htdocs/
Restricted writeable directories:
/srv/htdocs/wp-content/
On my self-hosted WordPress sites, the default blank and wp-content settings work perfectly.
