oh well never mind, its not to be. i did check the validation of the feed in https://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.farminguk.com%2Fcommon%2FNewscategory%2FFinance%23 and it came back invalid, could that be an issue? Odd if it is as it worked on my server
at a loss now, that didn’t work. same old 504 gateway time-out
cheers i’ll try that, do you think that might be the issue?
its php5.4 and 5 for mysql. so ive found the host package that the client has taken doesn’t allow cron access (i think my test server does)
Being new to this, could this be a cron path issue?
So i ran that DBMAnager thing, didn’t do anything. But i can see there are new articles in feed info which haven’t come down, could this be something else which is causing the timeout?
Thanks for the reply, the thing is though it only happens when i try to refresh the feed from the plugin. The plugin worked perfectly fine on my test site (which was hosted on another server) and then when it was migrated to the clients server this error has now started? Ive been in touch with their host who upt’d the timeout but still no joy, hence wondering if you’d come across this before? If it helps the news feed is on this page http://www.landfamilybusiness.co.uk/news-publications/
Having read the link, i’ll try the DBManger process and see if that works, you never know.
