Addendum – It’s disabled linking too. In fact it seems to have removed all html code from posts if I try using the text editor too.
This is the same in both Chrome and Firefox browsers.

I actually gave up on this theme and tried another instead but I hope someone does find a solution for other users.
Thanks but that didn’t work.
However…I fixed it by using the “customise” button at the top of the page which I’ve never touched before. I found that the “Search” widget had been greyed out for some reason, so I deleted it and added it again and voila! 😀
I’m still not sure what changed or why as I’ve not touched anything on the back end of the site but it’s sorted for the moment! 🙂
