In reply to: Can’t see page content in AdminMurky, reflecting my grasp of this subject 🙂
A screenshot is not a bad idea — I’ll post a screenshot in a bit, on another site (can’t post on the site in question at the moment)
Meanwhile, to try to be more specific:
I log into the site, go to the Dashboard, Pages –>Select the page I want –>edit.
Next screen says “Write Page”, but nothing after that. It doesn’t show any of the existing text. (The text still displays to the world, just not when I’m trying to get to it in Admin).Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Can’t see page content in Admin(reposting to move it up again)
I get the headers and options at the top of the pages, but it’s all white after that. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
No error message. No, I’m not seeing the rest of the source code — just the stuff for the Dashboard and its links, Sign out and My Account.
???
Any ideas?
thanks.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: (another) missing DB nameAmong other problems, I hadn’t uploaded my updated,”correct” script to the right folder. (Shouldn’t try this sort of thing late at night)
Diane, thanks so much for your time and help.Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: (another) missing DB nameHi Diane, thanks for your note. Sorry if I wasn’t very clear earlier. This is the note that shows up on the install page:
“We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the theblog database.”
‘Theblog’is the name of my blog. On the config.php page, I’ve entered the assigned info from the web host (including ‘userdb_12345_1’ as the database name), but it seems to be looking for the blog name ..? Your note makes sense to me, but when I read the error message, I don’t know what needs to be changed.
