In case this helps anyone in the future:
I had my WordPress files in http://www.lacewords.com/WORDPRESS, but I wanted my blog’s address to be http://www.lacewords.com/BLOG so I put the index.php in there etc., but it wouldn’t work. In the end I moved all my WordPress files to the /BLOG directory and it works fine now.

I deleted it.
I was going to switch hosts before posting this. I since have and deleted the zip.
Note: My old host was Awardspace.
I will try that but I will leave this open for a bit to see if I get different replies. Although that does sound like the way to go.
Hmm, I can try that. I wonder why I can’t just delete it myself though.
