Thanks for replying so speedily.
I set the Force From Email toggle to ON, and sent another email via my website. The event log shows the following:
‘Event #13 Debug An email request was sent.’
As before, I received a notification email, as administrator, but the user didn’t, even as spam – though they were listed in the ‘Send To Email Address’ field, as {field_id=”1″}.
Do you think this may be a Hostgator issue?

Apologies, I’ve been away for a while, so haven’t responded to your email.
I’m still having trouble regarding my notification email – which I copy to the client ({field_id=”1″} as well as myself.
Thus far, I have attempted to send it to three test email addresses without success; I’m guessing it is marked as spam.
(I receive the notification in my admin account, however.)
Working through this guide:
I fell at the first hurdle; that is – using the MXToolbox blacklists checker, I found that my URL was on a blacklist.
I contacted my host (Hostgator), and asked them to move me to a different server, as the above guide suggests.
Instead, they claimed that the problem may be due to the local ISP marking my IP as blacklisted, and recommended I use a dynamic IP or a VPN for sending emails.
Reading up on this, I discovered that these suggestions may make my connection unstable.
I’m completely stumped. So far I haven’t sent a single email off-road, so to speak, only to my own test accounts.
Is there a nuclear option: wherein I might revert to zero?

Prashant, there are four ‘events’ listed under my WP Mail SMTP > Tools > Debug Events tab; all have the Type:
Error
and the content:
Mailer: SendLayer 13: Invalid SenderAPIKey

Thanks for the reply.
I worked out how to offer my .exe file for download using (a) ftp transfer (to copy the file to my /wp-content/uploads directory), and (b) a plugin called Add From Server (to add the file to WordPress’ media list).

I worked out how to fix this: that is, delete the sidebar from my kb and restore it to my blog.
Of course, it wasn’t a Basepress glitch at all. It was caused by my attempts to load my Basepress child theme. At one point I mistakenly selected the Basepress Default theme as my website theme! Hence the need to restore my entire website.
Sidebar glitches are, it seems, common when when changing a theme.

Thanks again for the reply.
I performed a search for the colour #fff in the css file, and changed every incidence to #221100. This did not change the colour of the text in the Search button. I’ve run out of ideas.
Am I right to assume it will be under the section ‘6.0 – Search Bar’?
It would help me a great deal if you could quote the line number and/or title of the code snippet that will change the colour of this text.
I think that this will save time for both of us; otherwise, I’ll be firing off these queries forever.
