    Had the same problem here!

    – English as default language and 5 other languages additionally.

    Each time I tried to modify one category title or the description all categories on all languages were broken. After I go to Settings -> Languages -> Languages and save one language again, all works great again.
    It’s driving me crazy if I have to do this every single time after updating one of my 500 categories. 😀 😉

    But I have an idea what could be the reason.
    I’m also using Yoast SEO, which has the option to “Strip the category base (usually /category/) from the category URL.”
    Can be found under: SEO -> Advanced -> Permalinks

    Additionally I’m using “Remove /language/ in pretty permalinks.” from Polylang.

    When disabling the Yoast plugin option, everything works great. So maybe these two options cause the conflict?

    The problem that I have now is that 500 categories are already indexed on Google so I can’t deactivate the Yoast Permalink option, otherwise I would have to create 500 redirects manually…

    Who of you is also using Yoast SEO in combination with these to Permalink modifications and has the same problem?

    Okay, once again, as in this thread the translation works perfect.

    I meant:
    Now I found out that I can use &*#x1f476*; but in the source code I don’t get 👶 anymore but &*#x1f476*!
    Note: the *’s have been added so I can show you the problem.

    Hi Tobias,

    Oh, thanks for the quick response. Good to know that “Custom Commands” isn’t made for that, just hoped to reduce the HTML code length.

    Will try it with plain HTML now.
