Ugh this is killing my website! I can’t update anything because of this.
I am not running Cpanel either, so none of the suggestions apply. I have 1&1 as my hosting provider, but it’s a custom setup, not through their app installer.
Please WordPress fix this! This is ridiculous that it’s broken so badly.
Also, I’m running PHP 5.6 and MySQL 5.1.73.
