Thanks both for replying, I have not used WordPress before but am an old school HTML and WYSIWYG editor and want to try a CMS to provide access to other users to post, etc.

I am planning to make a site for a project I run with an audience that will access everything in Spanish OR English, so I will try the xLanguage. When the site is up, I’ll post the link.

Thanks for the clarification for theme over template and the i18n vocab.

Do you think it would be possible / good idea to customize a WordPress theme to support two languages by having two mirrored WordPresses linked to each other, one in each language? I understand this would mean updating both sites whenever a new post is written and conducting the translation ‘outside’ of WordPress?
