I still seem to be having this same problem, and can’t seem to disable the rich text editor. Please can someone advise me how to do this? I have tried unchecking the box in the options menu, but I still get the rte instead of plain html.

I’d been having problems inserting anchor tags into WP pages in IE as it kept displaying page errors if I used “a name=”. However, all is fixed by using “a id=”.
Wouldn’t have figured that one out alone… Thanks for the hint!
