Solved. woo_main_after(); was on my custom template which was created as a copy of single.php of my woo theme.
Thanks WPyogi. Your comment made me remember that I changed this page’s template from default to “showcase”. After changing back to default the drop down works again. I really liked the look of the showcase for the home page, guess I’ll just have to mess with it. Thanks so much that was driving me nuts.
