In reply to: [Ninja Announcements Lite] [Plugin: Ninja Announcements] SQL injection holeHey dk,
Thanks for bringing this up, I’ve been working on a fix for the past couple of weeks, but I don’t have anything ready to commit yet. This plugin was made before I did enough research about ajax calls within WordPress. The new version will use the built-in WordPress ajax functionality and better sql preparing to curtail those issues.

I haven’t seen that problem, but I’ll do some testing and see what I can find out.

In reply to: [Ninja Announcements Lite] [Plugin: Ninja Announcements] Feature request :)Hey Rajaito,
That’s a great idea. Definitely something we’ll look at throwing into our next version.
This problem should be fixed with the newest version of Ninja Announcements.
Hey winteum,
At this point, I think the only way I’ll be able to figure it out is to actually log into your WordPress admin and see what is going on. If you are not comfortable with that, I understand, but I’m not sure how much further I’ll be able to figure out via proxy troubleshooting.
If you are interested in continuing down that path, please don’t post any of your login information here. You can send it to me via email: kgstover55@gmail.com
Hey winteum,
Are you using a theme? If you go to edit a regular post or page, do you have any problems with that editor? There is still a conflict somewhere, I just need to figure out where yours is.

Hey winteum,
The most likely culprit is a plugin conflict. If you could do a little bit of trouble shooting, we can probably figure out what’s going on.
– First, go to plugins and disable all your plugins except for Ninja Announcements.
– With all the other plugins disabled, go edit an announcement and see if you can input text.
– If you can input text, then start at the bottom of your plugins list and activate them one at a time, checking your Ninja Announcements editor after every activation. When you activate a plugin and are unable to see the editor, let me know which plugin it is.Thanks for using Ninja Announcements.

Hey Freemind,
I haven’t seen this on any of the blogs that I have installed Ninja Announcements on. I just uploaded and activated on a fresh install of 3.1 and I don’t see any problems. In order to help you troubleshoot what’s going on, see if you can answer a few questions for me:
1) What version of WordPress are you using?
2) Can you give me a list of plugins that are currently active?
3) Are you using something like WPsuperCache or another Caching program?
4) Anything about your installations that are customized? (Directories, filename, etc?)
5) Have you ever used the plugin before successfully? (e.g. did the problem just start happening, or is this your first attempt at using it.)Thanks for using the plugin, hopefully we’ll get it sorted out soon,
Kevin

In reply to: [Ninja Announcements Lite] Ninja Announcements 1.2 close message bugHey Polle001,
I just downloaded the plugin and tried it with a fresh installation, and I don’t get any errors or malfunctions with the close button. Do you happen to have WPSuperCache or a similar caching plugin installed? It may be a conflict with another plugin, although I’m not sure what I’ve changed that would cause it to suddenly appear. If you don’t have a caching plugin installed, delete ninja announcements from your plugins directory and re-upload a fresh copy of 1.2.1

Yep. It’ll be 1.2.1 whenever WordPress updates their listing.

In reply to: [Ninja Announcements Lite] Ninja Announcements 1.2 close message bugHey polle001,
There was a bug, and I literally just uploaded the fixed code for 1.2. After WordPress.org picks up on the new file version, you should be able to download the new files and replace your old ones with them.
Thanks for the heads up, and I’m sorry for any confusion or inconvenience.

Just updated to version 1.2. I believe this will fix the javascript vulnerability issue. Thank you very much for the heads up.
