I am not sure that in my case it has something to do with the new release. I can create new pages/posts perfectly but I cannot change the old ones. It might have something to do with the database but have no idea how to fix it.
Also I updated wordpress to 4.2.3 at my second page and everyting works fine there.
I have similar issue. Publish and Save Draft buttons do not work after updating. After clicking them I just get back to the previous version of the Article/Page.
I found this solution: go to 02.homepage.php and in the section //Set default values for images change ‘column3-1/3’ for ‘full’. I guess this is not elegant solution but it works for me.
