  • I encountered this issue on one of my blog that I host on Godaddy. However, I set up another WP blog on another hosting company, it worked just fine. So, I believe it is something to do with you hosting server.

    Hi Virgvv,

I am having exactly the same problem. All the permalinks keep returning a 404 error.

Can you pls share with me how to include the WordPress subdirectoring in .htaccess file. I would like to give that a try.

Thanks and appreciate someone to help out too… I am desperately want to get this work… thanks.

    Hi HandySolo,

I tried that to set the root level blog’s permalinks to default, but the sub-domains permalinks are still not working.

Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    Hi HandySolo,

Thank you for your suggestion. I have looked through the troubleshooting tips but still I cannot find a solution.

I don’t know if my case is a bit special or not. I have a wordpress blog set up on my master domain (www.kpebiz.com), and then, I tried to set another 2 wordpress blogs in another 2 separate folder (www.kpebiz.com/knowhow and http://www.kpebiz.com/blogkpebiz)

I have customized my permalink in all 3 blogs. The permalink on my master domain (www.kpebiz.com) is working fine. I have followed the same method to set up the .htaccess on my another 2 blogs in another 2 sub-folders, but the permalinks on these 2 sub-folder blog are not working. The link keeps jumping back to the master domain.

I don’t know if there is a limitation that I cannot customize my permalink if I have too many wordpress blog set up on the same domain.

I need some help here… Anyone has any good suggestions? You help is very much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    KP
