I should also mention that it all works fine when i skip the shortcode and hardcode the URL they generate. But obviously that misses the point 🙁

I deleted the plugin then re-installed an older ver 1.9.3 which you can find here:: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpmbytplayer/developers/
Now it all works perfectly again, hopefully you can do the same?
I have exactly the same problem today … plugin has been working well for 6 months. Updated the plugin today and no video plays anymore 🙁
