Maybe I’m not being clear. I installed Wampserver successfully, created a database called explore_ca, extracted all the WordPress files of the latest download into C:\wamp\www\explore_ca which created a sub-folder called WordPress which I renamed blog so all the wordpress files are in
C:\wamp\www\explore_ca\blog. I ran wp-admin which created a new
wp-config.php file, then when it said sparky go ahead and install I did.
That’s when I got the result shown above. All of these steps match the procedure in the link you provided. For some reason WordPress doesn’t like the files it created and repaired successfully. I’m just trying to get this program to work so I can learn how to use it. I’m getting very frustrated. Judging by all the other entries in the forum with this error message, I’m not alone.

Thanks for your suggestions, but I don’t think they have addressed the cause of the problem yet.
