the 123.reg representative believes the problem is that I have Windows hosting and that WordPress is better suited to Linux hosting.

A ticket has been raised and my hosting is set to be regraded.

    Cheers.

Please excuse the lay out of it – I am learning from scratch 😀

    Cheers again for the reply

Ps – I am in chat with 123.reg right now – very responsive that is!

No, my web browsing is great everywhere else. For instance, I have added social media links on the site. When I view it, and click one of them, they open in a new tab almost instantly.

Results for my internet speed are as follows:
    + PING: 16ms
    + DOWNLOAD: 5.8Mbps
    + UPLOAD: 0.5Mbps

Google page speed insights for said website says:
+ Redusce server response time = 19 seconds!
+ Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content – Your page has 2 blocking script resources and 11 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.

I have not really made any progress developing the site thus far – it is one static home page, and that’s all! – and am considering, reinstalling wordpress through the 123.reg control panel.

Thank you for your reply – what do you consider my next step to be, please?

    Cheers.
