I’ve been playing around with the site today and haven’t seen the 503 error 🙂
I’ll get in touch with the hosting provider and update them on the solution too.

Hi again @wfphil, thanks for the new instructions!
I did what you said, and when I select the “X-Real-IP HTTP header” option is does indeed show my correct IP.
Did my host give me wrong info when they said they don’t use a front-end proxy? Or is this option safe regardless?
I’d previously looked at these options and found that sometimes when I click the “recommended” option it shows my actual IP, but other times (usually) it shows random ones.

Hi @wfphil thanks for your quick response. I just got the 503 error again and there was only 1 second difference in times on the timestamp (19:41:16 GMT vs 19:41:17 GMT). This was the same time difference as on Friday when I was last working on the site.
I just emailed you the diagnostics report.
