    Their support told me that the problem is this: their wordpress has already a captcha integrated into the comment system and that’s what causes the conflict.

    I guess since wpdiscuz is based on the wordpress comment system, although the “original” doesn’t appear on the front end, its functions are still there… so even if I don’t have the captcha activated into the wpdiscuz comment form, their wordpress act as if it’s there.

    I’ve tried to use the recaptcha settings of wpdiscuz to see if it overwrites their captcha, but it doesn’t do anything. It’s there but you can’t send the comment.

    What I don’t get is why the conflict appears only after version 7.6.10 of the plugin, since their captcha was already there and wasn’t a problem at all…

    Ok, it seems that the problem lies with my hosting provider “Altervista”, which uses a “custom wordpress”.
    They have 2 plans, one that lets you do whatever you like (and, there, I’ve manually installed the latest version of WordPress… and wpdiscuz works!) and the other plan has the “customized/optimized wordpress” and unlimited space/bandwith etc (and this is the plan I’m using).
    Link that explains this: https://en.altervista.org/create-free-site.php

    I’ll get in contact with their support as well; right now, I just know that version 7.6.10 still works perfectly fine (so it seems that they haven’t changed anything regarding their custom wordpress).

    As regards the “browser console” (the one that pops out if I click “Control + Shift + J”, right?), it says:

    On Firefox

    <empty string> wpdiscuz-combo.min.js:10:18873

    On Edge

    POST ./wp-admin/admin-ajax.php 403 (Forbidden)

    send @ jquery.min.js?ver=3.7.0:2
    ajax @ jquery.min.js?ver=3.7.0:2

    Sorry, it doesn’t let me edit the first post…

    I’ve just tried to disable all other plugins and changing the theme, but the issue is still there… So it shouldn’t be a “conflict” problem.

    I think it’s more like the first thing you said 🙂

    Let’s make some examples:

    -If TAG A has 10 posts and I hide one from tag page, since it’s hidden, the tag cloud should have “TAG (9)” instead of what happens now (still has “TAG (10)”);
    -Of course, if the hidden post from the tag page is the only one with TAG A, then “TAG A (1)” shouldn’t appear at all into the tag cloud;
    -However, since I don’t actually want to hide the post from the tag page, there should be a separate option to select like “hide post from tag cloud”, so that it’s like what you said: I have 10 posts with TAG A but only 9 are counted into the tag cloud (but the tag page still shows all 10); if I have only one post with TAG A, and it’s the one with “hide from tag cloud”, then nothing appears into the tag cloud.

    Hi,
    Sorry, maybe I didn’t explain it quite right;
    The problem is the widget itself, not the tag pages: even when the post is hidden on the tag page, the post is still “counted” into the widget.

    So, let’s say the post has the tag “TAG A”: the post is hidden on the page with “www.mysite.com/tag/TAG-A/” URL, but the widget still shows a “TAG A (1)” that links to that “empty” page.

    In my case, I would like to NOT hide the post from the tag page (so, when you go to http://www.mysite.com/tag/TAG-A it is visible), but hide it from the tag cloud widget (so, “TAG A” just doesn’t appear into the tag cloud).

    I hope I’ve explained it better this time…Sorry 😛
