Using the WPGMG plugin, clicking on the post title in the balloon links back to the same page rather than a new one.
Your exact needs may require some customization but it should work the way you’re asking.

Perhaps the WPGMG plugin will resolve your issue. I’m using it to embed maps into the theme using functions rather than shortcode. (Both are available)
