I realised it was a format change I made to the widget area in the child theme
and it doesnt like it on the responsive site:

as a total newbie I have one last question…
rpr_school_year has four possible entries from a drop down list (9,10,11,12, teacher)
where do i enter that data within the code so that school year column sorts by each type? thanks so much

quick question david – the sort code doesnt seem to sort them on the meta value – any advice?

I am very new to wordpress and trying to create a website for my school so please bear with me….

I have my wordpress site http://www.iceportfolio.com…. i have all the pages etc laid out… what I would like is create a separate domain within my site for each student… so that each student can log into and upload their portfolio of photos e-books etc…does that make sense?

I added into the functions file but didnt seem to work – I must be doing something wrong!!
I also tried this plugin and couldnt make it work either
think I am a lost cause 🙁

Thanks for that Tim… what I am creating is a website that has around 140 users and then each user will have their own space… so all I need is the home page to be a log in page for that user… a separate issue I have is that I then need other users to have read only access the other spaces… I am a newbie WP so bear with me!
