In reply to: Captcha for Contact Forms: Lose Customers/ Clients?Steve, yes it is a wordpress question. (if you get / use a wordpress plug in for captcha) I’m not sure which forum is best, as this entire forum site has always been complete chaos to me as far as where to post, or even find the post button.
Yes, asking people, many I hope can chime in, feedback on using Captha:if they think: I would lose some business each year. Are there other who concur with this?
“ost of use re used to captchas,and though mildly annoyed, put up with them. There are ”
That is not the question,, well I guess it is partly, some clients may be lost by not bothering, the real reason, I have not uses Captha, yet and put up with spam, is that even if they do the captha, what they fail, are legit clients, and you never hear from them? that the more scary issue.
If you have any great form recommendations let me know, though have nothing to do with social media. Few good forums these days
I have Askimet on my blog, have not thought of putting it on my consumer business website. Would askimet get true spammers off of the Captha form?

I’m just photographer, but devopers who spent 100 hours so angry. Woo extremely cavilier and pathetic. No support stone cold.
So incorrect ridiculously easy. My developer just sent me link upgrade, thanks god, I sent a clone to test, everything is missing, nice grids, good logos, now garbage site.
This is the achilles heel of WordPress.

In reply to: Neverending problem of Themes updating or notJames thanks.
1) My sites are very complex and take 60 hours to get the fonts and logo and form nice. I don’t think they would move to a new theme so easily or seamlessly.
2) So what if I try to keep my site, years after a theme is no longer supported? I could be ok, if I have backups and keep my eye out on that, and have a good developer in case of emergency?

In reply to: Getting rid of pesty email alertsThank You! I don’t know, but I’ll trust you on that.. because I have free version of Word Fence on all the site. Your opinion on this? Pest? How remove? Why assume in odd note bottom if I’m no longer admin. Agree that’s odd sentence?

In reply to: Can I wait between versions to update?Thanks Nash;
I concur, so much tedium if you have 8 WP sites whew.. I would love to know what is the maximum you could safely let it go, and I would put that interval as a repeating event in my calendarnot resolved.
