Thanks a lot and where do I find this code? What file, what line?

you ask it as if i am supposed to use a theme that you know, and if i dont, you will say “then ask the theme developer”, which became the typical response here recently…. however i dont think that would be controlled by the theme as I didnt see it anywhere

The information will not get or need frequent updates, this is basically information in text books since decades mostly, I am only presenting it in an easy to follow format, so that even a person who is not an engineer can undrestand it.

The total quantitity may add up to 200 pages, but it doesnt mean i need 200 pages or posts. These will be under about 25-30 topics of few pages each.

So here is what I will do. I will make it as posts. I will title each post as post#1,2,3,4,.. for each section. And then, i will open a single page, i will list the index of titles, and each title will link to the particular post. As i said there will be 25-30 posts.

So this way they will both be categorized under the regular posts format and in addition 1 page that will serve as an index.
    Seems logical?

Also, a general question… having a post in more than one category in wordpress has no negative effect for SEO or google ad approval right?

when you say the best place to delete is via dashboard what do you mean specifically? installing plugins as discussed or something else?
and as for specifically cleaning posts what do you recommend? the wp_posts table is the place i saw all the spam… comments were being protected by akismet already. also the suggested plugin advanced database cleaner does nothing to cleanr spammy posts from the wp_posts table, i just installed and looked

    this does not help me…
anyone cam specifically answer my specific question please?

    Thread Starter ketanco

    (@ketanco)

yes this is theme specific thanks for your discovery….

but the theme is a wordpress theme regardless… and if i could have asked it to my vendor i would have. but to do that i must signup for a full year of support.

and may be someone can take a look and tell his opinion , may be it is not so difficult… why do you just throw people’s question and effort into the trash without even spending 1 second of effort to think what might be the problem.. or if you have no opinion, just keep silent and may be someone will answer….

any useful ideas form anyone else?

ok thanks but i didnt understand. what must i do?
there was a working .user.ini file before.
now there is only .user.ini.bak file. but wordfence and site is tsill working. or something is not working which i do not even notice? or what must i do?

    Thread Starter ketanco

    (@ketanco)

    disable or delete?
well in this case disabling or deleting doesnt help. i moved yet another site and this time i even deleted wordfence first. (to be installed later again)

but as long as the user.ini file stays there with old path, the site didnt work.
once i renamed it to user.ini.bak, the site worked again. and then i installed wordfence again and it is working too. but now there is the .user.ini.bak file and no .user.ini file. so why did wordfence need this file before and why not now?

    Thread Starter ketanco

    (@ketanco)

ok yes but now there is no new .user.ini file but wordfence is still working….and firewall active. how?

i mean, when i installed wordfence again, it did not create a .user.ini file again…
so there is just the old .user.ini.bak file now… but wordfence is working now… that is the part i didnt understand

    Thread Starter ketanco

    (@ketanco)

so if that file did not serve any purpose, why was that .user.ini file there before? for what purpose? so wordfence will work without now (that is what it seems when i installed again)

    Thread Starter ketanco

    (@ketanco)

ok so i saw it. the host disabled it by renaming the file to .user.ini.bak

now i installed wordfence again, to my site , as it works now under the new host

and wordfence was installed and working, no visible problems

but when i check the root direcory of WP, i do not see a new .user.ini file
    there is still the .user.ini.bak

what must i do that that file?

    Thread Starter ketanco

    (@ketanco)

ok i completely deleted wordfence but i see that its tables remain in database
should i delete those tables before i install wordfence again? or it doesnt matter?

and as far as your answer above, are you saying there is no .user.ini file? or if there is, where is it? under which folder?
