The following PHP settings are no longer supported in PHP 5.5 and therefore disabled:
register_globals
register_long_arrays
allow_call_time_pass_reference
y2k_compliance
magic_quotes_gpc
magic_quotes_runtime
magic_quotes_sybase

In reply to: Website Menus not workingOn an individual page screen there is an option to include a page in the user menus. When this is ticked on a page it should appear left hand side, but now no pages appear.

The webhost FAQ about the upgrade says the following;

In reply to: Web Host updating PHP Version from 5.2 to 5.5I understand the requirements, but I’m talking about running a currently working site using PHP 5.2 that is to be upgraded beyond my control to 5.5
What do I need to do on my end to hopefully ensure zero downtime?

In reply to: WordPress 2.8.4 HackedLuckily I had a backup from only a week ago. I have restored it and changed my passwords. Much quicker than re-installing everything (provided I wasn’t infected back then), but I am pretty confident. Lesson learnt….backup….backup….backup.
