I also had this problem, I uploaded a new header and the whole website was loading slow afterwards. I couldn’t access my cpanel, the website, or wp admin.
Its all working ok now though! 🙂

I am new to wordpress so I don’t really know what you mean by re-uploading my wordpress files. I set it all up through Fantastico on my cpanel. I have tried a few different themes but none of them show the front page option in reading settings.
Is there an actual support contact for wordpress that I can send a message to? I seen that wordpress.com have a contact support section but it says next to it that they don’t deal with support for wordpress.org blogs.
