In reply to: Another newbie question about TemplatesDid my question not make sense? I noticed I didn’t get any replies.
I’ve been watching videos on the 2022 Theme and one thing that shows up in the video I am watching is that when the instructor clicks the + button various blocks show up, including a section called THEME where all of the available templates and more related to the theme are available, including template parts like headers.
When I click on + there is no section called theme.
I am using the same theme as the instructor, i.e. the 2022 theme.
How do I access the theme blocks?

In reply to: Another newbie question about TemplatesActually, I had found the place in setting where one selects a template. However, I had gone through the process of editing a 2022 theme template and neither the one I edited nor the other stock 2022 templates showed up in the settings template area. All that showed up was a blank template a large header template and page no separators template.
The 2022 Theme comes with a bunch of templates and a convenient template editor. But none of them show up in the settings template area.
I’m a bit confused about how the left column works in the dashboard. When I click on the theme and then “edit” and then the WordPress symbol I get all the 2022 templates. When I go back to the dashboard and edit the page, go to settings as the template instructions give and go to templates, none of the templates associated with 2022 theme show up.

In reply to: WordPress changes my html codeWhat it is doing is changing the html. It actually moves html tags around. It has nothing to do with any styles. I’m not even working with any tags that have classes or ids. CSS shouldn’t move individual html tags anyway.
It’s moving stuff like
<p>,<a>and<em>tags. One thing that is odd is that when I look at the source code of the loaded page, I see the changes, but when I go back to edit it, the cod appears once again as I has interred it.
Any idea what might be going on?

In reply to: WordPress changes my html codeesmi — Great name!
Actually someone else set this up, choosing the theme and setting up the site. And I don’t have access to him.
Can you fill me in on “theme issue” so I will have some sense of what to look for?
I will have to research a bit on WordPress themes. I suppose you are suggesting that there is a template somewhere with code that is interfering with the code I am entering in the edit window.
Thanks,
