I can confirm that disabling UberMenu does not fix the problem. THe Cookie Law Info bar remains visible at all times.
I think I’ll have to pass this back to our site designer, as my capabilities are limited to little more than adding content and tweaking!

In reply to: Spurious (?) messages from OneClick installerDoh – just realized it is a feature of my web hosting outfit, not WordPress.
Ignore, sorry!
Well I did try upgrading some time ago and it screwed up my site so much I had to restore from a backup.
This upgrade is quite complex – I have a number of custom templates. I suspect it is beyond my skill level so I’ll have to pay someone to do it. 🙁

In reply to: [Plugin: Nextgen ScrollGallery] Captions break gallery into single imagesI have reposted this correctly via the Scrollgallery section
I have exactly the same problem – I’d like the slideshow to be truly random, including the first image loaded when arriving on a page.

In reply to: Appearance of admin and dashboard area – bulletedNot as yet. I normally use Chrome, but to test it out I used Firefox and installed HttpFox as you suggested, switched to iFeature theme and loaded the wp-admin page. Of course it then displayed normally and generated no errors!
I went back to Chrome, and then Safari, only to discover that the admin pages now loaded correctly there as well. I had done absolutely nothing else apart from switch themes.I have just tried the Eclipse theme. This also works perfectly in Firefox (so no useful information from HttpFox), but in Chrome and Safari the admin pages are messed up as before. And for the time being, staying that way.
Bit of a mystery.

In reply to: Appearance of admin and dashboard area – bulletedI am having exactly the same issue with MAMP and I have found it to be Theme specific. If I use Twenty Ten or Twenty Eleven, the wp-admin area loads correctly. Other themes vary, iFeature and Eclipse, for example, are both messed up in the admin area (but the site itself looks fine). Catchbox is OK.
Unfortunately iFeature and Eclipse are the two themes I wanted to play with…
