It turns out that the jetpack that WordPress recommended that I install was the reason why my images were appearing all distorted. I find this weird, did I install it incorrectly or miss a step during the installation process?

Yes I had the images set, but it turns out that the Opacity set for the images was set at the max causing the images to appear white. Once I lowered the opacity the images appeared & the site looked great. Now I am encountering a different issue…I will start a new thread for this issue.
