Not sure how you get rid of them, but on mine it shows local avatars that people have uploaded, if you enable avatars only people who haven’t uploaded their own avatar show up with the icons.
As far as I know there are no other plugins. I waited for this one to come out, searched for it for ages, then one day it appeared just new up that day, so Im pretty excited to have it going.
I would really love to put some code in to create my own widget down the sidebar, just to link to sending a message, and to show when one has been sent to a user. It seems like the upgrade is taking a really long time to come. Anyone know what code to use to do this in the meanwhile?
