I went back into the admin console this morning and the verification works. No settings changed since yesterday afternoon when I gave up on it. Just “wait 16 hours and try again.”
I’m having the same problem. I’ve triple-checked the keys, tried two different plugins, put the keys into wpconfig… and still it won’t validate.
