Just another voice in the crowd. I already asked this exact ?? once and received a cryptic reply from Matt stating that WP doesn’t read plugins uploaded via FTP-However, I don’t know of any other way to upload them…also, a few other plugins I’ve uploaded via FTP work fine. I asked for further explanation but I never received any.
I also tried uploading everything again and it made no difference. My themes uploaded via ftp work great. This is so exasperating. Does anyone know of a different way to upload plugins to WP?
Now I’m really confused. If WordPress is not aware of any files uploaded via FTP how does it recognize the templates, plug-ins and other images that I uploaded in this way? And please, how am I supposed to be doing it?
I’m really sorry if I sound dumb, but when it comes to this stuff I am.
