In reply to: trouble with .htaccess file and possibly permalinksholy… I had a file called home.html (from the original temp site) in the file. I changed the name, and it works! I have been literally working on this the entire day and have moved and re-moved the site 3 times.

In reply to: trouble with .htaccess file and possibly permalinksI am not even getting a 404 message. It is saying the site isnt even there. so weird. The index.php file is in the root directory with all of the other WP files.

In reply to: trouble with .htaccess file and possibly permalinksIt wont allow me to rename the file, and if I delete it, I get a message that it cannot rewrite the file. I tried creating a new htaccess file several times, but that also isnt working..

So weird. I tried that and it still has the left border.
hmmm…it doesnt have a page.php template. just the index. could it be missing?
