Well, topic is not resolved yet..
I have set up a new child menu and using the “trick” with the empty sidebar. Thank you for that, bdbrown.
At least now I understand how the child menu works.
But maybe somebody will have an idea why there is no sidebar below some of the grandchilds in the above shown child menu. The reason for that I would really like to know.
Thank you, bdbrown, for this proposal.
But I want to find out and understand why this sidebar shows up.
So I am going to set up a complete new child menu and then I will look what happens when I set up new pages.
So I will mark this support thread as resolved.

In reply to: [Hueman] How to hide the date in post format?Hi bdbrown,
thank you for your advise.
I have done so as you suggested:
http://goo.gl/oIGQ0AWhen I use Firebug to inspect the code I can see the span class but I can not see the attribute {display:none;}. So, the date before my name is still visible. I don’t know what is wrong….
I hope you could help.
Thank youRegards,

In reply to: [Hueman] Child-menu in SidebarHi bdbrown,
yes, this works now perfect.
Thank you very much for your great help. Maximum respect!
But now…I have a new question. But I think it is easy for you to answer. Please take a look here:
http://goo.gl/ZIhw2cOn some pages I don’t want to show the date which is positioned before my name. I know I could delete the date from my page template:
<?php the_time(get_option('date_format')); ?>The second posibility should be using CSS with the attribute {display:none;}
But I couldn’ figure out which classes I have to address in my sytle-sheet in order to hide the date before my name. Could you please advise me quickly?
Thank you and have a nice weekend!

In reply to: [Hueman] Child-menu in SidebarHi bdbrown,
thank you very much for great support and help.
Here are my answers to your questions:
1. “child-menu-neu.php” and “child-menu-market-watch.php” files are located in my child theme folder in a sub folder called “page-templates”. In this sub folder is also the “child-menu.php” located.
2. No, no changes in the “Template Names”.
3. Yes, there are two other page templates which I created but which I don’t use in this case.
You said you got it to work…super! I am looking forward to hear which changes you made in order to get it working.
Thanks and regards,

In reply to: [Hueman] How To Create Menu In Sidebar?Hello bdbrown,
I have now created the sidebar. If you have time please take a look here:
For this page I have used the
child-menu.phpand gave it a new name likechild-menu-neu.phpand I was able to create this menu. But now I want to go a step further and I want to use a different child-menu-template. So what I did was to copy
child-menu-neu.phpand gave it a new namechild-menu-market-watch.phpBut when I choose
child-menu-market-watch.phpfrom my templates then the child menu has disappered completely as you can see here. This is something I don’t understand because
child-menu-neu.phpandchild-menu-market-watch.phpare identical templates.Do you have any idea what I made wrong or what could be the reason for this?
I really hope so..
Looking forward to hear from you.
And thank you very much for your help.
Karsten
