In reply to: Domain Redirect ProblemIF anyone’s experiencing the same problem, we got it fixed. I just installed WordPress in a new folder, zipped the contents, transferred it to my root, extracted, then changed the links in WordPress dashboard.
^ The solution above worked after the whole transfer. 🙂 However, the .htaccess thing did not.

In reply to: Cant upload mediaDid you experience this after a transfer from a directory to another? Yes, 777 IS a security risk, and is best avoided as much as possible.
Have you checked if the folder/path exists?
Have you read this article? It talks about setting permissions and all using an FTP client.
Also from the article:
This is one reason I suggest you turn off Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders because you are going to have a problem with permissions every month when a new directory needs to be created. Just let them all go to /wp-content/uploads.
I’d really like to help, and I’m doing research on my own too. I’ve only experienced dealing with justhost, godaddy, 1and1, and hostgator. 🙂

In reply to: Cant upload mediaHi,
Not sure if you’ve resolved this, but where are you hosting your blog on? I just solved this problem in godaddy a few minutes ago. If we’re on the same hosting site, I can help.

In reply to: /wp-admin no longer accessibleOh, okay, haha. Thanks.
I can’t login there either. 🙁 I tried my login credentials for my wordpress and another email associated with the acct, but still no access granted. Do I need the email and password of the hosting? The one for the “.com”?
Thank you so much!
