I take it this is not the general experience with the plugin?
Since the admin has the same issue, I tried the Troubleshooting tool with 2020 theme and only bbPress and bbP Private Groups activated. Didn’t change anything – still couldn’t see the forum when I browse to the forums page (without refreshing).

Could everyone’s browser be caching it? But if so, wouldn’t this happen to everyone using the plugin?
Going back and forth to another page doesn’t do it. It has to be refreshed.

But don’t allow them backend access, so they can’t directly edit their profile (and add themselves to a group). Personally I do this with Profile Builder, so only admin has back-end access, and the same plugin allows you to build a profile-edit page where users can do other sorts of profile editing.

I think even if I could get them to work in a template, I would have to edit all the pages that use the template to be compatible with it. Your other suggestion, manually changing the images, would be easier.

I understand, and it does work well. What it does is almost magical, and it is very useful.
We’re probably going to add an automatic preload of single posts after update, but not just yet.
This would be great.
Also it would be great to have automatic preload of the whole cache when it is purged by some action, like Autoptimize cache being cleared or theme update. At least, that is not happening for me.
I get that same error (haven’t checked console though). But when I click Preload a second time, it works.
