I have deactivated all plugins except UM – still getting the same error message. What do you suggest I try next? I would really like to keep UM and get some extensions. Thanks Boris.

Yes only while uploading a cover photo or avatar on the profile. The user can upload an image to post, and the post shows fine. Thanks 🙂
I can upload everything in the admin panel. I have changed the default avatar and cover photo too. No problem.
