In reply to: [Blog Introduction] [Blog Introduction] also on individual post?Thank you for your comment!
So, basically you’d like the intro to appear on
– archives of posts (front page, author archives, etc)
– posts
but not on pages?Ok, thanks!

In reply to: [Blog Introduction] [Plugin: Blog Introduction] Limit of 50 words ?Hi Liaaz!
Sorry to hear it’s not working for you! I just tried an intro of 100+ words and everything was displayed. I.e. it seems that my setup is working and, unfortunately, yours is not. So, this might get a little tricky.
Are the words cut off in the middle? Can you see, e.g. by changing the intro a bit, a certain limit in characters, e.g. 256 characters? (No, I have no idea how this would come about, or how to fix it, but it’s first question in my mind..)
Or maybe the culprit is another plugin? Sometimes plugins don’t cooperate very well. You could try disabling each plugin and testing whether intro works when that plugin is disabled.

In reply to: Blog introduction pluginHello Bill!
Thank you for your question! The documentation (if you can call it that) is not clear on all settings. Sorry about that. What it *tries* to say is that each tag and category has a permalink (or “slug”) that is usually derived from the tag/category name.
For instance, if you have a category “Leadership Quotes” then its permalink will most probably be “leadership-quotes”.
As every category introduction ends with “-cat-intro” you need to set a page’s permalink as “leadership-quotes-cat-intro” to use the page as an introduction for the Leadership Quotes category.
Does this clear things up?

In reply to: [Blog Introduction] [Plugin: Blog Introduction] Blog introduction pluginI had no plans to change that functionality and now that I know that function is used outside of plugin core I’ll keep things as they are.
Glad you found the plugin useful!

In reply to: When I publish a post it always fails first time.Had the same problem. Disabling plugin “Twitter Tools” fixed it. (See here for more details: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/343079) I installed “WP to Twitter” instead.
There’s no rush. The problem can be avoided by renaming profiles.
Thanks for an awesome plugin!

In reply to: [Plugin: Blog Introduction] Read more linkIt runs nicely on my 2.8. Maybe it’s a theme problem? The intro is shown before the post loop (i.e. the list of posts). If the loop function is not called, there won’t be any introduction.
I hope you get it working!

In reply to: Problem with plugin directoryFor people with this kind of problem: it’s probably because the plugin’s php (e.g. blipbot.php) file still has an old version number.
