yes, but after days passed and i saw answers to other issues here, I thought it would be prudent to post here, especially because a public answer may be helpful to others. thank you for fixing my problem though!
for anyone else, here was the issue & fix:
“The main Items div has padding-bottom: 100%; which seems unnecessary. We just override the main items css in style.css of your theme.”
