I agree with the recommendation to use a migration plugin—it’s usually the simplest approach when moving a WordPress site from Windows to Ubuntu.
One additional tip: make a complete backup before starting the migration. After importing the site, go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save Changes to refresh your permalinks. Then test your pages, plugins, and theme to make sure everything is working as expected before making any other changes.
