In reply to: [WP Edit] Can't see my textHi Smiley,
I apologize for the inconvenience.Well, when that happens; it usually means there is a javscript error, preventing the rest of the page from rendering properly (the tinymce editor gets “stuck”, and won’t finish loading).
Typically; it is another plugin or theme option that interferes.
You can use your browser to diagnose for javascript errors on your page:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_ErrorsIf you notice any errors or warnings in your browser console; please copy/paste them here for me to see.
Alternatively; you could temporarily deactivate ALL of your other plugins; then clear your browser cache; then go back and see if the editor loads properly. If it does; you know a plugin was interfering… and you can reactivate each plugin until the problem reappears; this would tell us which plugin is causing the interference.
Hope this helps.
Lemme know what you discover.. and I’ll help you get it resolved.Forum: Plugins

Sorry for my delay.
Glad you got things sorted out πForum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Edit] Remove Stay informed boxHello,
That information will only appear when there is a plugin update available. And once the plugin is updated; it will not display anymore.
I do plan on toning it down a notch… but I’m not sure I’m ready to remove it completely.
I’m sure it can be hidden with some custom CSS also. If there isn’t a unique class name already assigned to the div; I’ll make one. Just set the css of the div to
display:none;.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: installing a new themeAre you in a multisite environment?
If so; you can only add new themes from the network admin area.

In reply to: admin loginand I keep getting an error message stating that I have to wait 30 minutes because I have attempted the maximum number of failed logins.
WordPress does not automatically block login attempts and force the user to wait 30 minutes.
This sounds like you were using a plugin to block/limit spam login attempts.
If this is the case; you are going to want to use FTP or your hosts cPanel to gain access to your file directories on your server.
Once there; you will want to browse to the “wp-content/plugins” directory… and rename the plugin folder that is giving you trouble.

In reply to: [WP Edit] Insecure ContentI apologize for my delay. I had to focus on life for a bit π
The issue is that I’m using a script to show the feedblitz counter icon on the WP dashboard (WP Edit widget area). Feedblitz does not provide an HTTPS image for the script. I’ve tried using my own hosting; and others; and cannot get the HTTPS working properly.
Unfortunately, I think I will either need to remove the Feedblitz script entirely. Perhaps I can add a function there; which can be hooked from a child theme; that will remove that part of the plugin. This way; if a user wants pure HTTPS, they can do so (remove Feedblitz image and counter) with an action hook.

In reply to: [WP Edit] Strange behaviour with an image and hyperlink in tableHello, and thanks for posting.
Well, I tried a few different times; and was able to re-edit the link successfully each time.
– I used the little “pencil” icon that appears when hovering over the image.
– I also used the default WP “insert/edit link” button. Each time; it repopulated the edited link successfully.
Is there anyway you can create a screencast to visually show me the issue you are having?
Does the issue persist if you deactivate all other plugins and switch to the default 2015 theme? This would rule out the possibility of another plugin/theme conflict.
